My husband and I (and our dog) wanted to escape the city for a couple days of relaxation after a year of pandemic isolation. When we found Bluefish and the Beachy Keen property and we booked right away. This house is less than 90 minutes from Chicago, and is even more beautiful in person than the pictures showcase. It has one of the most well-appointed kitchens I have experienced in a rental, to the point that the skillet and sheet pan I brought from home to cook a few planned recipes were not even necessary.
The hot tub and the rooftop are such a nice touch, especially when you luck out with 65 degree weather in early March. The neighborhood is quiet, which makes this location the perfect restful retreat. And the house sleeps 6, so while this was a great getaway for our little family, you could definitely bring a larger group to this property. My husband and I are already talking about our next visit.
