Grand Mere

We absolutely loved our stay at Grand Mere! One of the biggest highlights was the location. Being so close to the beach made the trip feel relaxing and effortless. It was so nice being able to easily enjoy lake days, peaceful walks, and sunsets without having to travel far. The home itself was spacious, comfortable, and welcoming with plenty of room to relax and spend time together. It was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We also loved being close to local restaurants, shops, and nearby attractions while still having a peaceful place to come back to. If you’re looking for a relaxing Michigan getaway near the beach, this place is absolutely worth booking. The location alone makes it special, and we would definitely stay again!

Our group had an amazing stay at Grand Mere! The home was absolutely beautiful, spacious, and incredibly well maintained. The lake views were stunning from just about every room, and being only steps away from the beach made the entire experience feel so relaxing and private. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook meals for a large group, and the outdoor spaces were perfect for morning coffee, evening dinners, and fires at sunset. The bedrooms were comfortable, the bathrooms were spotless, and the separate coach house was a great added bonus for extra privacy. One of our favorite parts of the trip was how peaceful the property felt while still being close to St. Joseph, restaurants, and local attractions. The management team was also very responsive and made the entire process seamless from booking to check-out. By far the best vacation rental company I have dealt with. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Grand Mere for family vacations, group getaways, or special weekends with friends!

Our group of 12 had a wonderful long weekend at Grand Mere while attending the Notre Dame vs. Texas A&M football game. The house is located just 45 minutes away from South Bend and reserving Uber/Lyft to and from the game was very easy and cost effective. As regular visitors to the area, Grand Mere was a nice change of pace from game weekends in South Bend. It was wonderful to wake up each morning with beautiful views of Lake Michigan, spend the afternoons on an easily accessible virtually private beach, and close each day with perfect sunsets and cocktails around the fire. The house is fantastically appointed with all of the necessities to cook a full meal for a large group-- quality cookware, cutlery, wine glasses, and even a variety of napkins and placemats to set a nice table. Dinner outside in the courtyard under the string lights almost felt like being at a restaurant. The bedrooms and bathrooms are similarly appointed with high quality linens and furnishings. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners who have another home nearby and it is clear that they take great pride and care in doing all they can to create a comfortable experience for their guests. Hats off to them! We look forward to returning again next year!
