As the name implies, Sunnyside Cottage is a bright and cheery cottage in the heart of Lakeside. The newly renovated cottage has been completely refinished, to include a very open concept, consisting of the living area, dining and kitchen. The décor has been updated throughout. The home features 3 bathrooms and 4+ bedrooms, all on one floor. Bedroom one features a queen bed and ensuite bathroom, bedroom two is a queen, bedroom 3 has twin bunk beds, bedroom 4 has a twin and a full, plus there is a small den/bedroom with a twin daybed. Gorgeous kitchen with quartz countertops, living room with a wood burning fireplace. Additionally, there is a lovely front porch, outdoor shower, and private 5-person hot tub (open year-round!). Located in Lakeside, 2 blocks to the private Orchard Beach access. Now with new outdoor firepit!

Comfortable & Cozy

I love Sunnyside, especially in the winter time. The snow just falls softly and glistens on the trees and everywhere. I loved sitting in the hot tub during the snowfall and just relaxing and I took several walks daily around the area and down to enjoy the beach. The sunsets are just extraordinary, and all within reach of a walk from the cottage, and the fireplace is a perfect place to warm up with my deluxe cup of hot chocolate or any bottle of Michigan wine after. I feel like this cottage is comfy, and I love coming here to be able to getaway. I have been here in a small family group and a large ones, the space just works for whatever the occasion and don’t forget all of the activities at anytime during the year which are right near the cottage within a stones throw away like the art fairs, winery’s, lake events and boating, antiquing, and the dunes. What a nice place to get away from it all. Thank you for letting me and my daily enjoy these great spaces year after year!

Amazingly Delightful Cottage

We have stayed at Sunnyside Cottage numerous times. We try and come at least once a year, if not more often. We love it because it is so bright and open, welcoming, and comfortable. The house is very well apportioned for cooking, playing games, hanging out with friends or family, or just cozying up next to the fire with a book. We have stayed here just for a couples get away, with our kids, and with groups of friends. Pam, the host, is fantastic and super easy to work with. We highly recommend it!
