Bluefish Gives Back
Bluefish Vacation Rentals & Property Management implemented “Bluefish Cares” as a way for our staff, homeowners and guests to give back to Harbor Country in the areas of community, relief and environment.
Through Bluefish Cares, our mission is to give back to the local community by providing charitable contributions and volunteer support, thus strengthening and reinforcing our commitment to creating lasting changes in our community.
We believe that the quality of life found in Harbor Country depends on the generous support of those who live, work, and vacation here. We contribute our time, talents and resources to help ensure a brighter future for all who call this area home.
Community: Community Support and Outreach
Through multiple initiatives, we aim to improve the well-being of our community. Supporting equality for all, Bluefish is a Certified Safe Place and sponsor of Harbor Country Pride. We support the local fire departments in their child safety education programming and sponsor youths in competitive sport teaming. Every fall, Bluefish hosts a Blanket and Linen drive collecting donations from our homeowners and community. We love our furry friends, too, and are honored to partner with the Michiana Humane Society for the annual fundraising events.
Relief: Reducing Hunger through Food Assistance
By partnering with the Neighbor by Neighbor, we are working to reduce hunger in our community. We include donation bags for our guests in each property’s welcome setup all year long. These bags are labeled to encourage guests to donate leftover unopened, non-perishable food. Through Neighbor by Neighbor, the food is used for emergency food aid and a mobile pantry.
Environment: Protecting our Precious Harbor Country Home
Bluefish Cares hosts local beach cleanups and other volunteer initiatives to help protect our fragile environment. We also use eco-friendly cleaning and laundry products.
